| How do I feed my pet? First of all, when you first make your pet, you do not want to overfeed it. It will become very sick if you do. But when you do have to feed your pet, you can buy, find, get from the Money Tree, use from your Newbie Pack, or if you are really poor, you can go to the Soup Kitchen where the Soup Faerie will provide you with a hot meal. Also, once a day you can go to the Giant Omelette and grab a piece of free food. How do I play with my pet? With a toy of course! Either buy one from a shop, or use the Shop Wizard to find a specific toy. What is the best way to earn money? The first thing newbies should do is play Games. For Neopoints, I prefer to play Pyramids and Cheat. Then when you have some sort of a comformtable income from the games, I usually sit in a Neopian shop, ie. The Chocolate Factory. Neopian shops restock roughly every 8-10 mins, sometimes more, sometimes less. You buy for really really cheap prices, and then head over to the Shop Wizard again to price them accordingly to put into your shop. What is a good starter pet? There isn't really a starter pet. They are all equally good. Should I adopt a pet? You cannot adopt a pet until you have made one. But then afterwards you can adopt. Adopting a Neopet shows the good that is in your heart, and also helps the unfortunate pets who have been tossed there by owners that just did not want to care for them anymore. Every once in a while you can get really lucky and find a pet with high stats, or even a restricted or limited edition pet, such as a Cybunny or a Krawk! What is the war? Every so often, Neopets thinks it'll be a good idea to spark things up with a war. Usually between good and evil. The latest war was between Meridell and Darigan. Where are the cheap stores? Hrm. There really aren't "cheap stores". The marketplace shops (owners' shops) are all fairly priced accordingly to the Shop Wizard. The cheap shops would be the Neopian Main Shops, or other shop places, such as The Deserted Fairgrounds and other places on the World of Neopia map. Is there a way to interact with other players? There are many ways. One of which is battling in the Battledome. Another is through Neomail. You can also make other use your Neofriend. One more way you can interact is through a Guild. Find one that's right for you. How do I check my pet's status such as hunger and so forth? To check your pet's status, all you have to do is go to your Quick Ref page by clicking on your pet's name at the bottom of the left yellow bar. What are the different locations on the map? By clicking on Explore button on the left yellow bar, it takes you to a World of Neopia map. These are just the many different places you can visit in Neopia. Just click and visit. Is there a place to have my pet sleep? The answer to this is no. But you can have a place for them to sleep, but it is unnecessary. You can either build a Neohome or you can put your pet in a hotel for a price. Note: by putting your pet in a hotel, you do not have to feed it, but you can still play with your pet. Do I need to feed my pet everyday? Depends on how full your pet is. Look at your Quick Ref page to determine how hungry your pet is. Where do I get codestones and how much are they? As far as I know, there are 2 ways. One is the randomly finding of them on the floor. You would get a little message saying You have found a mystical codestone. But those come too far in between for you to rely on that. So you must go to the Shop Wizard to find a good price on a codestone. You use codestones for training your pet at the Training School. There are many different codestones, such as Orn, Eo, Vo, Mau, Main, Tai-Kai, Lu, Zei, Har, and Bri. Can I train without a codestone? You cannot train at the Training School without a codestone. You can, however, train at Cap'n Threelegs' Swashbuckling Academy. But to train there, you would need Dubloons instead of codestones. And I will let you know that they aren't really all that cheaper than codestones. Also, you can only train your pet there until they are level 40. At the Training School you can train there for however long as you want. What is the Battledome? The Battledome is a place to go to spar off against either Neopets challengers or other Neopets. Check out the list of Neopets Battledome Challengers here. What are Petpets? Petpets are pets for your Neopet. You can have only one petpet per Neopet. Why can't I do anything until I am 48 hours old? I honestly don't know why Neopets has that rule. It's just how it is. What is the difference between the games in the cities as opposed to the games in the game tab? There is no difference. All of the games in the cities are also in the games tab. They are there for a little bit of decorating. Also, some games are themed in certain cities, such as Tyranu Evavu is a Tyrannian game and Grundo Snowthrow is a Happy Valley game. How many Neopets and Petpets can I have at once? You are allowed up to four Neopets and have up to only one Petpet for each of them. You can have Petpets as items and sell them, trade them, auction them, etc, but you cannot do that to Neopets. What is the Employment Center? The Employment Agency is located in Faerie City in Faerieland. This gives out basic jobs for your pet to do. Job listings refresh every 10 minutes. So if it doesn't have job listings, check back often. What stats are better to raise first? Personally, I keep all my pet's, Little_Devlin's, stats at a pretty even level. You don't want to raise one stat too high because then you will have to keep leveling your pet to match it, such as just raising your HP so high that you cannot do any other stats like Strength and Defense until you level enough where you can. The max one of your stats can be is double what your level is, ie. you are Level 53, you can train strength up to 106. After that you have to train for a Level. How do I partake in an auction? Go to the Auction and take a look around. If you are looking for a specific item, use the Auction Genie and read carefully how much time is left in the auction and for how much the item is for. What are some of the items used for such as the Palm Leaf, half eaten omelette, and Bottle of Sand? The Palm Leaf and Bottle of Sand really have no use. They are loser souveniers you get from the Tiki Tack Tombola. You can also buy these from Tiki Tack Gifts, but they really have no use whatsoever. The 3/4, half, and 1/4 eaten omelette are portions of an omelette you have left after feeding your pet. You can still feed this to you pet until they are bloated. How do I equip my Neopet? When you have a weapon, defense item, or a potion you can bring into the battledome, make sure you have it in Your Items. Click on one and in the dropdown box it says Equip "Your Pet's Name". Click that and then Submit. Do that for all that you want equipped to your pet. Are there items that can raise certain stats such as strength? So far, the only items that I know of that can do this are certain types of Neggs. How do I find a guild I would like to join? To find one you would like to join, start by going to the Main Guild Page and search though the millions of guilds. What is the point in training your pet? You train your pet so you can defeat Battledome Challengers and other pets. Training is exceptionally useful during a war. Does the amount of stats I have affect anything? Yes, it affects the amount of strength you have, how much you can defend, and how many HP you have. Movement really does not really have an affect. What is Neomail? Neomail is a form of Neopets email. People Neomail you using your Neopets screen name. It is very convenient and quick. How do I know when I have Neomail and how do I check it? When you receive Neomail, an event alert will appear at the top of your screen saying you have new mail. Click this and it will go to your Neomail.
