A Little Something About Me...
For those of you who just merely stumbled upon my page, you are probably wondering who I am. I guess the best way to start is to introduce myself. My name is Novena, most of my friend calls me Novy or Novi. I just recently turned 21..woohooo!!! Finally legal!! This current year I have junior standing at the University of California Los Angeles, with an undergraduate major in American History. After my undergraduate studies, I plan on going into Law School(crossing fingers).
But enough about the boring school stuff! There's definately more to life than school:) I also enjoy listening to music  , going to concerts, movies  , reading, partying, and just having fun! Music definately plays an important part of my everyday life. Who knows where I would be without music! I'd probably go insane:) I love the whole British synthpop scene, which was very popular in the 80s. Yeah, yeah, I'm an 80s freak! Hey there's nothing wrong with the 80s..good music, cheesy movies, and weird outfits..NOW THAT'S LIFE!
Other than that, I love hanging out with my wonderful and dear friends. They have affected my life in so many ways and have always been there for me when I need them most. I love them All! Speaking of my life changing, I specially want to say thank you to Jim, my wonderful boyfriend. He has given so much happiness! He is my soulmate and my bestfriend! I love you forever!! |

The Love Of My Life...
I've known Jim almost three years now, and he has always been someone I can talk to about anything. He's my bestfriend, and now i'm soo happy to call him my boyfriend! He has truly blessed me with his passion for life and his love. He has made me a very happy person and for that I thank him! I only hope that I provide the same love and happiness that He has given me! The love I feel for him cannot be described by words, because it means so much more.
He is my soulmate, my bestfriend, and the love of my life!
Jim, thank you for giving me happiness and joy! You are truly a blessing from heaven! I love you with all my heart and soul and those feelings will never change:) I look how our relationship has progressed and I smile because I know that I am so lucky to have someone like you! Thank you for sharing yourself to me..for giving me joy, for sharing your thoughts and feelings, for sharing your qualities and talents, and most of all for sharing your heart! Music is definatley very important in my everyday life. Someone told me once, "what it would be like if my life had a soundtrack." That phrase has struck a chord in me and has stuck in my mind. Indeed, music brings so much emotions to a person. It talks of pain and sorrow, joy and happiness, anger and hate, love and passion. These subjects are things everyone can relate to. Music brings all that out, whether it be instrumental or with lyrics or words. That's why I've always found pleasure in listening to music. There's nothing like turning up my Morrissey whenever I feel down..which is really a bad idea because it only makes me feel more depressed. Whenever I want to cheer myself up, I just put on one of my Depeche Mode cds and all is well:)
I have great appreciation for all types of music. I enjoy listening to rock, alternative, synthpop, electronic, and britpop the most. Like I said before, I'm an 80s kinda gal...and well, I love 80s music. My favorite band of all time who rocks my world is Depeche Mode!!!! My other 80s favs are The Cure, Duran Duran, A-HA, Morrissey, U2, Erasure, Pet Shop Boys, Eurythmics..and the list goes on and on. I also like some music from the present day..hehe. Some bands I like are Ben Folds Five, Jewel, Bush, Gene, and Collective Soul. Check out the links I have provided to go to some cool sites on some of the bands I have listed!!
