| Fishing Report for the Week:
Here it is Monday and a gloomy day it started out with dense fog. However, the barometer is falling and winds are light. Crappie are on the move to their breeding grounds in shallow water and are being caught on jigs (white with red heads) and some fisherman are using small minnows as trailers. I personally use medium to large minnows for the larger fish and I can eliminate some Yellow bellies with the larger bait. Early Morning and late evening are still the best up to about 9:00pm. Catfish are working their way into the shallows following the warm weather we have been having. Local fisherman have been getting their limit on Night Crawlers for the past few days from 3-6 lb range in 3-6 feet of water.
The weather is expected to be nice over the next few days, including the weekend. So come on out. I will keep you updated on how they are doing. Wild Bill, Here |
