For anyone who doesn't know about Turners Syndrome I am going to try and explain as best I can what it is. Turners Syndrome is a genetic defect. It's a chromosone abnormality occurs in around 1 out of every 2,500 babies.Turners Syndrome occurs when one of the chromosones which determin a persons sex (xx/ xy) is absent or partially absent. When the Chromosone is partially absent this is known as 'Mosaic Turners Syndrome'. Common features of Turners Syndrom are a webbed neck, puffy hands, puffy feet, low hair line, short stature and infertility. Most people with Turners Syndrome will only have a few of these features.
