| My name is Thomas and I am only 3 but I have had a long and trying go at life. When I was born life started out with a failed kidney and one that did not develop supposed to have surgery and go home within 3 days but the doctors cut into an infection that went throughout my body almost ending my life, needless to say, I was in the hospital for a 1 month including my first Christmas. Well time has past and when I was 2 my parents found out that due to the infection I had (entrobacter)I have cerbral palsy and brain damage. I am in therapy thru a school system for I cannot walk or talk but my heart and spirit are as big as the sky. I am making this page to try and help others cope with the problems and trials of having disabled children and maybe get some help for my mommy and daddy as well. We have contacted lawyers but as of yet no one will or is willing to take our case saying that there is not enough evidence to support what we say. The doctors could have done a test to find out why my white blood cell count was so high but they just contributed it to my body being stressed due to the kidney problem. My family feels that the money is not the issue it is to make the doctors and nurses realize they should and need to take responsibilty for their actions, although the money would help with my care and needs. Another problem we are having is right now I am on SSI but my daddys pay is bring it down and if I loose SSI I will lose medicaid and my parents have tried to put me on my daddys employers insurance and they cancelled me saying I have a preexisting condition. Well if I need to see a doctor and don't have insurance what am I to do if I loose the SSI that allows me to remain on medicaid? My mommy helped me make this page.
