The Tribe called 'The Luo' had a ruler called Labong'o and out of 20 children he only had 1 girl, who was named Oganda. Labong'o cared so much about his tribe but he also cared alot about Oganda, so when he was told by his ancestors the only way they could get rain was if he sacrificed Oganda to the lake monster. Labong'o had to put the tribe first so Oganda went down to the lake, where the lake monster lives according to 'The Luo' so Oganda was just about to throw herself into the lake when her lover Ocinda, who her parents did not want her to marry, came in a cloak and cover himself and Oganda with it. They both escaped out of the lake but they could not go back to the tribe. The rain still came even though Ocinda was not eatin by the lake monster. |
