The Fish Pollock
This is the darts player Gary "The Fish" Pollock
The nickname "The Fish" originally came to Gary when he was playing pool. As a pollock is an actual fish this is where it came from. Garys exploits at pool where legendary but he gave it up to follow his true passion Darts.

Garys first match was against Toss Cush of the Sliabh Dubh. On that night Toss was too strong for Gary starting strong and finishing strong taking one dart at the double. Bitterly disappointed Gary had to wait to just the second match of the season to pick up his first win against The Marty Forsythe.

Gary has entered many competitions, Many for his club St Johns, and a christmas tournament. In the Three a-sides Gary was partnered with his father Charley Pollock, who has enjoyed a healthy dart career, and John. The team played well and got to the semi-finals where they meet another St Johns team. unfortunately nerves got the better of Garys team and they crashed out in the semi's. It was then onto the 2 a-sides and it was a similiar story again. Gary was partnered with his father again and played brilliantly until the semis where they again crashed out due to nerves. the highlight of the 2 a-sides had to be the match between Gary pollock with Charley Pollock playing Finger walshes team. Finger walshes team took the first game but this only served as a wake up call for the Pollock team. They both Stepped up a notch and hit some terrific scores. finger walshes team also played very well hit some impressive scores. In the christmas tournament 2004 Gary crashed out again in the semi's after being well in front(at least 100 points) he must have had at least 15 darts at the double just falling into the wrong bed twice. But well done to Billy the eventual winner of the tournament Beating Mark Delucia in the final.

Looking to the future the individuals are coming up and hope to do well in that. i believe i could do well in that as i have beat two individual champions(Charley Curley and Joe Mc Couberey). There are also two still to be played for and Gary will be hoping to help them on there way to the Johnnies.

Tell me what you think my chances are at the individuals. E-mail me at gpollock643@msn.com

Big shout for the two ladies that would never miss any of my matches Jenny Hart and Paula Turtle. They have never missed any of my matches and i think they are quite fond of me. They melt my head a bit because they are never away from me but thats life. Look out for them at www.maxpages.com/talkaboutlove

The final was a total disaster. The sloans beat us 6-0 in what turned out to be an absoloute thrashing for St Johns. The sliabh dubh where good for the win putting in convincing performances. As for St Johns we will be looking for revenge in the forthcoming cup this wednesday. Hopefully everybody will be practicing and we can win this one.
