Welcome to one of the Chicago Bears Web site's for all up to the date Chicago Bears news and Information.
Upcoming Season:
The Chicago Bears ended last season with a sign of a rising stars and ability's to prove that the belong with the big teams and names. They only won 6 games but that was a major imporvement from the season before. They have lost to the Green Bay Packers for Maney years with out winning one game but they finally defeated The Packers in the 1999 season. With there 2nd year WR Marcus Robinson stepping out making great plays and there 3rd string quarterback becoming a star everone around the world started realizing that the Bears have the ability to win against some of the hardest teams. With Curtis Enis still recovering from knee surgery he did not play that great. But he did do pretty good for a player suffering with that kind of pain and medical disability. But between seasons he will be able to recover from that and come out strong in the upcoming season. The Bears will probably have there young QB Cade Mcnown who is 6'0" 211lbs. start the season to give him a second chance. Another player we have not seen much from is D'Wayne Bates who is 6'2". He is a great WR and and maybe he will rising to the expectation's the Bears need this season you never know. The Bears also signed Veteran Shawn Wooden Who is a GREAT GREAT CB who was from Miami. they also added some DE's Phillip Daniels and Chris Mim's who are supposed to be great players. And Eddie Kennison a WR who is really fast and will definitly be a starter this upcoming season.
The Nfl Draft (Bears)
The Bears surpired everyone with the way they did the draft this year. They Drafted mostly Defensive Players. Lots of people wanted the Bears to draft offensive players but they never thought about how the Bears could attack the NFL with there Defence. Because they drafted Brian Uracher who played WR, CB and LB in collage and has great speed and concentration which the bears need to stop players like Mike Alstott. They also drafted Dez White Who is a fast WR who could turn out to be a BIG star like Marcus Robinson. So watch out for him. The Bears also Drafted lots of CB'S and other players to help there struggling Defence. The Bears hoped to get Sabastion Janikouski But they dd not get a chance to because the Raider's drafted him in the first round. So it will be interesting to see who will be a star this season. Will it be Mike Brown,Dez White or who, you never know.
Draft selections:
Brian Urlacher LB New Mexico
Mike Brown S Nebraska
Dez White WR Georgia Tech
Dustin Lyman TE Wake Forest
Reggie Austin CB Wake Forest
Frank Murphy RB Kansas State
Paul Edinger K Michingan State
James Cotton DE Ohio State
Mike Green S NorthWestern State

Did you know that last year the Bears defence forced 33 turnovers the most since 1990 and they still are improving there defence ?

THE SIGNING OF MCQUARTERS !
The Bears signed a 3rd year CB from the 49er's R.W. McQuarters a Cournerback who is said to have great practic skills and athletic ability's to help the Bears even more.
There has been a rumor that the Bears could be getting a replay screen this upcoming season so that they will be able to challange. The Bears are the only team in the NFL without one so they probably will get one.
If you hate the Green Bay Packers go to this site www.packerssuck.com for funny jokes and bad info on the Packers.

The Chicago Bears have nine draft picks, five are signed. The Bears had previously come to terms with sixth-round pick Frank Murphy, and seventh-rounders James Cotton and Michael Green.
