ANGEL BISCUITS
NEED: 5 cups flour, 3 tsp.baking powder, 1 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. soda, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 cup shortening, 1/4 cup warm water, 1 packet dry yeast, 2 cups buttermilk.
INSTRUCTIONS: add yeast to warm water to dissolve 10 to 12 minutes. combine flour, baking powder, salt, soda, and sugar in large bowl. cut in shortening. combine yeast with buttermilk and add to flour mixture. mix until smooth. turn out on lightly floured surface and roll to 3/4 inch thickness. cut to desired size. bake at 400 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.
