Kong Arthur
Kong Arthur var klar til å legge ut på en ny leting etter den hellige gral, men han likte ikke tanken på å la sin dronning, Guenivere, være alene med alle ridderne for så lang tid. Han gikk til Merlin, og forklarte problemet. Merlin tenkte lenge og vel, og lovte å finne en løsning. Dagen etter kom Arthur tilbake, og Merlin viste hva han hadde laget. Det var et kyskhetsbelte, men det hadde en åpning på et åpenlyst sted. Ikke tale om!, sa Arthur. Det hjelper jo ingenting! Se her, sa Merlin, og tok en gammel, utrangert tryllestav og satte inn i hullet i beltet. Øyeblikkelig kom et lite giljotinblad farende og kappet tryllestaven i to. Glad og fornøyd satte Arthur beltet på sin dronning, og reiste ut fra Camelot. Etter flere år på leting vendte han tilbake, og det første han gjorde var å samle alle ridderne i storhallen, og forlange alle benklær av. Og riktig nok, samtlige manglet de utstyret. Alle unntakk sir Galahad. Min trofaste Galahadi, sa Arthur, Du alene har vist deg verdig min tillit! Si hva du ønsker deg, og du skal bli belønnet med det! Men Galahad kunne ikke svare.
