Limp Bizkit is:
Fred Durst on Vocals
Wes Borland on Guitar
John Otto on Drums
Sam Rivers on Bass
DJ Lethal on the turn tables
Limp Bizkit started off as a small band from Jacksonville. Playing there gigs at a little place called the milk bar. Limp Bizkit started with Sam and Fred who where buddies from highschool decided to start a band. They got a drummer John Otto who was Sam's cousin. Wes Borland then decided to join after Fred met up with him in a local jazz club. After a while, Fred convinced him to join the band.Limp Bizkit at the very begining was actually written and called "Limp Biscuit" but people kept saying "Bizk" so they changed the name to Limp Bizkit. Fred and the gang played there gigs as I mentioned at a local bar called the milk bar. Everytime they played there the crowds got bigger and bigger. Limp Bizkit was a sucess since the begining. Then they got their real break when on a tour of there own. The members of KoRn were playing a gig in Jacksonville and Fred whose former job was as a tatoo artist went up to their bus and offered to give free tatoo's to the member of the band. Now the joke is after the concert they say that fred did something wrong so the fellas from KoRn came looking for him and he dropped a demo that contained "Conterfeit" "Pollution" and "Stuck on it in the lap of Jonathan Davis. He decided to listen to it and fell in love with their awsome sound. But some members didn't like the sound and thought maybe it was a fluke so what jon did was he went to the local radio station he found people where phoning in to request a song from Limp Bizkit a band that wasn't even really a band at the moment. KoRn was then convinced and told Fred to try and put together an album. That is when the problems started. Wes began having personal problems and began talk of leaving the band. That didn't sit well with Fred and they began to have arguments. Wes ended up leaving the band and Fred thought they were better off. Well they weren't. Fred got a replacement but they sounded horrible. And then Sam told Fred the simple truth that they needed Wes back. Fred was still angry with Wes but then he was finally convinced that they needed him back and after a while of convincing Wes came back. That was when KoRn asked Limp Bizkit to come on tour with them. And of course they all said yes right away. Even on the road Limp Bizkit kept writing stuff. And once they began with the hit song "Faith" there was controversy with in the fans. Many fans loved it but some thought that Limp Bizkit had gone soft but nevertheless after a while Limp Bizkit made Faith a hit and it sat well with the fans. Now Conterfeit was also doing extremly well. And now something i had forgot to mention was the fifth member of the team. The old school band House of Pain had broken up and somehow Fred got the one and only DJ LETHAL! To join the band and he did. Anyway later on Limp Bizkit finally released their debut album "Three Dollar Bill Y'All$$" This album was a hit all over the place. Limp Bizkit was becoming big. With a guest apearance of Fred Durst on KoRn's "FoLLoW ThE LeaDeR" album, Limp Bizkit was getting close ties with all the bands. Later on in 1998 Limp Bizkit went with KoRn on the succesfull "Family Values Tour" which also released a CD. Now in 9 teen 90 nine {sorry about that i jsut cant help myself} Limp Bizkit released there second album "Significant Other" Significant Other was a BIG CD! With great songs like "Nookie" "Break Stuff" "No Sex" and "N 2 Getha now" This CD as fred says "Our new cd is going to drop draws." And it did. Significant Other spent 2 weeks in the numebr one position on the billboard top twenty actually out selling the backstree boys "Millenium" CD. Significant Other contained such great guests as Scott Weiland who Fred refers to as "the melody man" and Jonathan Davis on the song "No one like you" and a long time favorite person of Fred's, Method Man. "I was really nervous when i hear method man was going to be on our album. I didn't want him to think i was just some wack white guy trying to rap oldschool but when he showed up he was all like yeah limp bizkit is cool i am going to go write my rhyme and then i thought I am going to write my rhyme and start rapping with METHOD MAN dude we can get no higher" quoted Durst about his song N 2 Getha now which to now surprise was originally to be named "Shut the f*ck up!" Limp Bizkt also bagan his tour with Kid Rock later on in the year. Limp Bizkit also brought a long there kind of "son" Staind. Staind was a new band that limp bizkti was kind of helping out like KoRn helped out them. After the tour with Kid Rock, Limp Bizkit actually met a goal most of them had always dreamed of: They were going to be playing at Woodstock '99! (Which also Featured, DMX, Offspring, KoRn, ICE CUBE, Kid Rock and many many more...) But during that one night during of course the song "Break Stuff" riots started and Limp Bizkit got the finger pointed at them but they didn't mind. Infact they used it as a theme for their new music video for the song "Re-Arranged" Limp Bizkit went on. And with there soon to come home video coming out "Poop" and the Family Values Tour '99 which KoRn has asked Limp Bizkit to headline for them instead of KoRn, they will be busy but Limp Bizkit like KoRn have big and $$money filled$$ futures! They are a great pair of bands that will last. For more Limp Bizkit info go to: http://www.limp-bizkit.com or if you wanna buy there CD go to http://www.amazon.com trust me both CDs are great.
