A Little About Mary HI! Thanks for stopping by. My name is Mary Applegate and I run this day care. I am a 26 year old mother of 3 who wants to stay at home. I am not licensed as it would cost you more if I were. I do, however, have 15 years of experience with child care and baby-sitting. I have also been a Mom for 7 years now. As a parent who had 3 children in day care at the same time, I found it next to impossible to pay the costs for day care. That's why I started my own. I can promise you that my rates are some of the lowest in town with the intent to keep in mind those parents with more than one child. What I Do and Do Not Offer Are you tired of Daycare running on banker's hours? I know you don't work 9 to 5 and neither do I. I am available 24 hours a day for childcare with exception to the weekends. I DO offer a safe, caring, smoke free environment for your child to play freely with other children in my care. I DO offer some of the lowest rates in town with possibilities of discounts and free weeks. I DO offer child care for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. I DON'T pretend to be a school teacher. I have children of many ages and while we will read books and do learning activities, I will not teach to them. I will allow for them to experience and learn on their own with proper adult guidance and supervision. I DON'T offer false hopes about what your child will do or learn while in my care. Ages and Hours I accept all ages, from newborn until whatever age at which you believe they still need adult care during the day. I offer 3 shifts of care and am non-restrictive in my hours. For 1st and 2nd shift parents, I am open Monday through Friday. For 3rd shift parents, I am open Sunday night through Friday night. I do accept children on a full time and part time basis. I also accept children who only need child care during Summer Vacation. I believe that the workforce today is not ruled by traditional banker's hours and I will not expect you to abide by that either. You work only a half a day? Great!! Come and get them when you get off of work, or leave them here all day. It is up to you. As a parent, I know what it is like to need some extra time after work to go down and get my license renewed (or some such thing like that). Rates and Discounts My basic rates range from $60 to $70 per week depending upon the age of the child. I do offer discounted rates for children not attending 5 days each week. I offer a 10% discount to families with multiple children. I also offer special discounts for referrals. I do expect payment weekly, without which your child may not stay in my care. I am flexible on the day of the week that paymeny is made. I do also accept biweekly payments, however, only as payment for upcoming weeks. Available Space As of December 12th, 2005, I will have 4 openings available during various shifts. Please contact me with any specific questions you may have. I am available for personal interviews during the week and on some weekends. I am willing to work around your schedule, so please come on by and check the place out. It is a small house, but the children receive meals, snacks, and naptimes just as they would at a fancy daycare center.
